The Last Air Bender Movie Trailer

You probably just saw the film's Super Bowl spot this past Sunday if you live in the U.S. and were one of the 106 million who watched the game. I thought this trailer was prett-ay, pretty good, but it seems that they were able to create a more effective tv spot, It looks like M.Night Shamalamadingdong might have another hit on his hands. He's had more turds than hits and still rides on the success of The Sixth Sense, but he still has quite an impressive cult following nonetheless.
Paramount decided to take "Avatar" out of the title to avoid confusion with James Cameron's multi-billion dollar film. The film hits theaters on July 2nd, a prime weekend for a big-budget flick... usually. Unfortunately, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Knight and Day are both opening on that same busy weekend. Eclipse and Knight's audience would most likely overlap the most. The Last Airbender will be able to pull in young males and fans of the source material.
Studio Description: In a world where the elements Water, Earth, Fire and Air can be controlled by people known as "benders", the Fire Nation is waging a ruthless, oppressive war to control the other great nations. The only hope for stopping the brutal war rests on the shoulders of a reluctant young boy named Aang (Ringer). The last known survivor of the peaceful Air Nomads and the Airbenders, Aang is the Avatar. The Avatar is the physical re-incarnation of the world, with the power to manipulate all four elements and draw upon the power, knowledge, and experiences of the Avatar's previous incarnations. The Avatar is responsible for maintaining balance between the four nations of the world and the spirit world, hence keeping the balance of the world. Aided by a protective teenage Waterbender named Katara (Peltz) and her brother Sokka (Rathbone), Aang begins a perilous journey to restore balance to their war-torn world. Standing in their way are the Fire Nation's Admiral Zhao (Mandvi) and Prince Zuko (Patel), the banished prince of the Fire Nation who seeks to capture Aang to regain his honor.
