I really thought today's headlines would read : SHE'S QUEEN OF THE
WORLD, or, BIGELOW SLAMS CAMERON INTO THE HURT LOCKER. What a great
night for Kathryn Bigelow, who became the first woman to take home
the Best Director award. If you've seen The Hurt Locker, you'll
know it was completely deserved. The film also picked up Best
Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Film Editing, Best Sound
Editing, and Best Sound Mixing.
Neil Patrick Harris was great as always. I thought Steve Martin and
Alec Baldwin's opening monologue was very funny. The show, as
always, slowed down in the middle.Ben Stiller provided one of the
biggest laughs of the evening.
