Takers centers on a notorious group of criminals who continue to baffle police by pulling off perfectly executed bank robberies. They are in and out like clockwork, leaving no evidence behind and laying low in between heists. But when they attempt to pull off one last job with more money at stake than ever before, the crew may find their plans interrupted by a hardened detective (Matt Dillon) who is hell-bent on solving the case. The film stars Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, Idris Elba, Jay Hernandez, Tip "T.I." Harris, Michael Ealy, Chris Brown and Hayden Christensen. I found the trailer to be pretty lame. We've seen this kind of premise plenty of times before. "The street blew up!" That scene was straight from The Italian Job. The only bright spots here are Matt Dillon and Idris Elba. Most of the acting is distractingly bad and even the trailer is full of cheesy lines.

I just had to include this movie poster. What a work of art. They've photoshopped the heads of Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker, and T.I. onto someone else's body. Chris Brown looks like a complete tool, and where the hell is Matt Dillon? ScreenGems needs to seriously rethink their marketing strategy with this one. Fire poster department stat.
