Writer/director Rian Johnson (Brick, The Brother's Bloom) has released a new photo of himself sitting on the time machine used in his upcoming sci-fi thriller Looper. The film is a time-travel action thriller that involves a killer (Gordon-Levitt) who works for the mob of the future. He, along with other so-called Loopers, dispose of people that are sent from the future. When he recognizes one victim as his future self (Willis), he hesitates, letting the man escape. I love the design of the time machine and I can't wait to see a closer shot in color.
Despite having a late September release date, the film has already been screened for several audiences and reactions have been extremely positive so far. Devin Faraci of Badass Digest
said the film, "represents a major leap for Johnson, a huge step forward in style and scope. It's smart and funny and thrilling, the kind of science fiction movie that wildly entertains while never shortchanging characters or ideas." Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Jeff Daniels and Piper Perabo round out the fantastic cast. [Image courtesy of the film's
