Jonah Hill has signed on to star in 20th Century Fox's comedy 'The
Sitter'. The film will be directed by David Gordon Green (Pineapple
Express, Your Highness), ultimately replacing Jonathan Levine (The
Wackness) who was originally attached to direct. The script,
written by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka, created a bidding
war between Fox and Paramount. The duo also had another hot script
titled 'Who the Hell is Sanjay Patel', which was picked up by
Universal after it landed on the 2006 Blacklist (a list of the best
unproduced screenplays of that year).
'The Sitter' centers on Noah, a suspended college student who is
forced to babysit three wild kids next door. It's said to be a
cross between Superbad and Adventures in Babysitting.
