First Trailer and Poster for THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT

.......
Universal has released the first trailer and poster for Nicholas Stoller's THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT. The film centers around the ups and downs of an engaged couple's (Jason Segel and Emily Blunt) relationship. While the majority of romantic comedies/dramas make me nauseous, Segel and Stoller have miraculously found a formula for making the genre appeal to a wider audience (hint: a great cast & strong writing, who would have thought?) . Good luck finding a more likable leading on-screen duo than Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, not to mention a solid supporting cast featuring Rhys Ifans, Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Mindy Kaling and Jacki Weaver. The film hits theaters April 27th, 2012. [Check out the clever official movie site here]

The director and writer/star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall reteam for the irreverent comedy The Five-Year Engagement. Beginning where most romantic comedies end, the new film from director Nicholas Stoller, producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) and Rodney Rothman (Get Him to the Greek) looks at what happens when an engaged couple, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle. The film was written by Segel and Stoller.
