24 The Movie - Jack Bauer may be on the big screen sooner than anticipated

I'm pretty sure that's Kiefer's actual mug shot. It saved Fox's marketing department some money so they figured why not. EW.com is reporting that we may see Jack Bauer kill and torture more people on the big screen sooner than we thought. Although Fox hasn't decided whether they're going to be picking 24 up for another season, this isn't slowing down progress on the film side of things. Apparently Billy Ray (State of Play) is in talks to write a screenplay for the franchise. 24 viewership has been down by 10% this year, but it still remains Fox's third-most watched show. Fox will have make their decision fairly soon so the writers can write a proper series finale. Then where would the movie pick up from? Kiefer thinks that they could do both the show and film at the same time.

I'm a fan of 24. I've seen every single episode (nerd alert) and I loved some of the earlier seasons, particularly season 1-3. While the past few seasons haven't been the best, it still delivers and is an extremely entertaining show. Would I see 24 The Movie? Yes. I have a few stipulations.

They must bring back Kim and put her in another ridiculous situation (referencing season 3) for a laugh. Audrey should make an appearance since her exit was so unsatisfying. Chloe needs to kill more people. " It's just that when I shot that guy I thought I'd go all fetal position, but the truth is I didn't feel anything, at all. I hope I'm not some kind of a psychopath." I don't want the movie to be any sort of conclusion. It should be an entirely 'new day' with new characters and a brand new story. As much as I would love to see Renee Walker on the big screen I have a feeling she'll get killed off this season. It's amazing she's lasted this long. Jack Bauer and the rest of the central characters (the few remaining) should have their stories come to a close on TV where it started.
